Vancouver Marina was constructed
in 1965, and opened for business in 1967. The first
phase of construction was built at 8211 River Rd in front
of what now is Galleon Marine (in those days, the building
was home to Richmond Boat & Yacht Sales downstairs, and
the famous Surf Club upstairs).
A few years later, we built the
second phase of the marina on the north side of the Middle
Arm Bridge in front of what once was a Boeing Aircraft seaplane
production plant built in the late 1920's. The building
was converted into an office/ restaurant building which is
now home to The Boathouse Restaurant and Marine Retailer,
West Marine.

Why Choose Vancouver
Marina?
Vancouver Marina is Vancouver's Nicest
Covered Moorage Facility, as well, Vancouver Marina is home to Vancouver's
Nicest Fuel Dock!
Covered
Moorage: The biggest advantage to mooring your
boat at Vancouver Marina is the availability of Covered Moorage.
Mooring your boat in a covered slip is the best way to protect
it from the damaging effects of UV rays, as well as keeping
it dry. Individual docking in our covered moorage means
that you have a finger float on each side of your boat.
Concrete
Docks: Vancouver Marina also offers state-of-the-art
CONCRETE DOCKS for both our covered and open moorage
clients. Concrete docks are much more stable than wood
docks, and is very similar to walking on a sidewalk! Concrete
is also far less slippery when wet, making the facility much
safer for you and your family!
Security:
Vancouver Marina offers security patrols via foot and boat,
and 24 hour video surveillance of our docks and boats, making
our marina one of the safest and secure facilities in BC.
Fresh
Water: The other great advantage of mooring your
boat with us, is the fact that we are located in FRESH WATER.
Fresh Water mooring means that your boat won't be affected by
salt-water growth such as barnacles, mussels, and worst-of-all,
electrolysis. Salt Water growth can cost you thousands
of needless dollars in additional maintenance. Why not
save the money and moor in FRESH WATER?
Electricity:
Power service available ranges from a minimum of 15 amps
(in smaller slips) up to 80 amps (in larger slips). Use
as little or as much power as you want!
.
Come on by, we'd love to show you around!
Wireless
Internet: We are pleased to offer FatPort® - a pay-per-use wireless
service which features 24/7 tech support and is very reliable.
